Mohamed Salah makes new Liverpool contract declaration as agent arrives on Merseyside today.

Under challenging circumstances, Mohamed Salah remains steadfast in his commitment to Liverpool. His agent, Ramy Abbas, is reportedly in Merseyside this weekend and is expected to attend Sunday’s highly anticipated match against Manchester United at Anfield.
In the aftermath of Liverpool’s narrow 3-2 victory over Southampton in November, Salah openly expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of progress on a new contract.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of their upcoming clash with Ruben Amorim’s team, Salah revealed that discussions for a contract extension are still far from being finalized.
“Is this my final season? As of now, yes—it’s the last six months,” Salah admitted. “There’s been no progress, and the gap remains significant. My focus is on delivering an outstanding season, not worrying about the contract. I don’t want distractions to mar my performance; I want to look back with pride at my achievements.”
Salah also reflected on his legacy at Liverpool, saying, “It’s humbling to be mentioned alongside legends like Gerrard and Dalglish. Eight years ago, I couldn’t have imagined being in this position, but I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished.”
Outlining his ambitions, Salah stressed that winning the Premier League with Liverpool is his top priority, even surpassing the Champions League in importance.
“Perhaps it’s because we didn’t celebrate our previous Premier League win properly, or maybe it’s because this might be my last season here, but I’m more driven than ever to bring the title back and leave a meaningful legacy for the city.”
The star forward also highlighted his dedication to personal growth: “During breaks, I analyze areas where I can improve—whether it’s fitness, composure, or shooting accuracy. Paying attention to these details ensures I make impactful contributions to the team’s success.”
Acknowledging the fierce competition from clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City, Salah remains optimistic: “Winning the Premier League again would be an incredible achievement. My aim is to play a crucial role in making that a reality. We’ve achieved so much, but claiming the league title for a second time would be
truly special.”
