Paul Pogba Weighs His Options After Suspension Ends

Paul Pogba’s 18-month suspension from football has officially come to an end, but the French midfielder is in no rush to sign with a new club. Reports indicate that he is carefully evaluating his next move and is unlikely to finalize any decision before the season wraps up.

Due to the current transfer window restrictions, Pogba’s immediate playing opportunities are limited to leagues such as Major League Soccer (MLS) or Japan’s J1 League.

However, the 31-year-old is determined to secure a return to one of Europe’s top leagues, preferably with a club competing in the Champions League or Europa League. His ultimate goal remains earning a spot in France’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, and he believes playing at the highest level will boost his chances.

Several clubs, including Marseille, Fiorentina, and unnamed LaLiga teams, have already shown interest in signing him. Meanwhile, Pogba has turned down offers from Saudi Arabia and Brazil’s Serie A.

During his suspension, he stayed in peak condition by training with a personal coach and participating in informal matches in Miami, where he has been residing with his family.

Now free to resume competitive football, Pogba intends to take his time before committing to his next club, ensuring it aligns with his long-term

ambitions.
