π “Amorim treated me TERRIBLY before I left, but now that he’s GONE I’m ready to come back to Old Trafford because this is MY HOME and I refuse to abandon it” β Former Man United star who DEPARTED because of Ruben Amorim is now SET TO RETURN next week! π΄β¨ The COMEBACK nobody saw coming… Who is it? ππ₯

Former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has made his sentiments crystal clear regarding Ruben Amorim’s dismissal by publicly engaging with a social media post announcing the news.
The Portuguese head coach was relieved of his Manchester United duties after 14 months at the helm, following incendiary comments he delivered in the wake of their 1-1 draw with Leeds United.
Garnacho has now taken one final, subtle swipe at his former manager despite having already departed Old Trafford under a cloud during the summer transfer window, after their working relationship deteriorated beyond any hope of repair. The 21-year-old was among several United players who found themselves marginalized and effectively told to seek opportunities elsewhere.
Months after the Argentine’s move to Chelsea, Amorim was dismissed by United following his explosive public remarks that laid bare simmering tensions within the club’s inner workings, according to the Manchester Evening News. In their official statement, the club announced: “Ruben Amorim has departed his role as Head Coach of Manchester United. Ruben joined the club in November 2024 and successfully led the team to a UEFA Europa League Final in Bilbao this past May.
“With Manchester United currently positioned sixth in the Premier League standings, the club’s leadership has reluctantly determined that this is the appropriate moment for a managerial change. This decision offers the team the best possible chance of securing the highest achievable league finish this season.
“The club wishes to express its appreciation to Ruben for his contributions during his tenure and extends its best wishes for his future career. Darren Fletcher will take charge of the team for Wednesday’s fixture against Burnley.”
Renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the breaking news across his social media channels, particularly on Instagram, and among those who responded was the former United winger, who pointedly liked the post. The Argentine was offloaded to Premier League rivals Chelsea over the summer after completely losing favor with the Portuguese manager. Garnacho had become increasingly disillusioned during his final months at United as he was repeatedly sidelined for crucial encounters, most notably the Europa League final in May.
When recently questioned about whether he experienced any regrets over his decision to leave Old Trafford behind, Garnacho was unequivocal: “No. Absolutely not. Sometimes in life you need to embrace change in order to progress or evolve as a player. The timing was perfect, and Chelsea was the perfect club. So honestly, it was a very easy decision to make.”
Back in May, Amorim had informed Garnacho that he would be permitted to seek a transfer during the summer window after completely omitting him from the matchday squad for the season’s final league fixture against Aston Villa. Garnacho had openly voiced his disappointment with the decision to exclude him from the starting eleven for their heartbreaking European cup final defeat.
At the time, Amorim responded somewhat curtly: “He’s a Manchester United player who hasn’t been selected for today’s squad, but he continues to be a Manchester United player.”
