England star has announced his retirement at the age of 29
Former Liverpool star now runs summer camps.
The Liverpool squad has been quite steady under Jurgen Klopp over the last few seasons, which is either a good or a terrible thing depending on your point of view.
While rotation is necessary in today’s game, having a stable lineup is arguably what every manager would prefer.
During the early stages of the German’s reign, when he was still figuring out what kind of player he had and who he wanted, he had to make do with who he already had.
Back in 2015, a few months after Klopp’s arrival, the club’s marauding right-back, Jon Flanagan, returned from injury after nearly two years away.
Klopp lauded him as the man-of-the-match when the Reds defeated Stoke City in the League Cup semi-finals in early 2016.
At the time, as a 23-year-old, his future in the game appeared certain. However, he was loaned to Bolton just two years later and released by Liverpool in June 2018.
He never reached the heights of his Anfield glory days, and he resigned from the game at the age of 29 in 2022.
According to The Sun, the athlete who was previously compared to Cafu is now making a living by organising summer camps for children aged 4 to 14.
