I told Pochetino that i can win golden boot and there’s no need to buy Osimehn or Ivan Toney because I’m better than them”- Chelsea star Nicholas Jackson has finally come out to the media to address the public on his favourite position and why Chelsea does not need to waste money on buying a news striker in January
According to a recent analysis, Chelsea actually made two of the worst Premier League signings this summer.
Both Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson, according to the Mail Online, have fallen short of expectations since joining the Blues this summer.
Caicedo joined the team for a record sum, however he struggled in his debut against West Ham as a substitute.
He has, however, started to seem more and more like the player they spent all that money on in recent weeks.
He and fellow big-signing Enzo Fernandez have started to work together, and this has led to a change in Stamford Bridge’s performance.
Two of the worst signings were Caicedo and Jackson.
Despite this, it is clear that his high price will cause him to be evaluated differently, and this is what has led to his being dubbed one of the summer’s worst additions.
Jackson, a Chelsea player who has undoubtedly had difficulty maintaining consistency in front of goal, was another who made that list.
His most recent came off the bench against Burnley last weekend, giving him three goals overall for the team.
It will be interesting to see if this results in him being given a starting position up front when the Premier League resumes with the game against Arsenal.
When the transfer window reopens in January, Mauricio Pochettino will undoubtedly still be considering adding a new striker.
The name most frequently mentioned in connection with Stamford Bridge is Ivan Toney, who is probably moving on from Brentford when the window reopens.
