VERY SAD Kelvin De Bruyne news has been announced this morning as the player has just left Manchester City to join this Saudi Arabian Club
According to reports, Manchester City has announced their asking price for midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as there is interest from the Saudi Pro League. De Bruyne is reportedly a target for Al Nassr, with the club confident about luring the City legend away from European football.
A potential move to the Saudi Pro League and Al Nassr would see De Bruyne alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane, as well as reuniting with former City teammate Aymeric Laporte.
In the summer, De Bruyne rejected advances from Saudi Arabia to stay at City, but the 2023/24 season has been challenging due to a hamstring injury suffered on the opening day against Burnley, keeping him sidelined.
TEAMtalk now suggests that City is open to selling the Belgian international before his contract expires in 2025.
They are reportedly demanding a fee of just £60 million for him, despite his status as one of the world’s best players when fit. This fee is unlikely to be a problem for the Saudi Pro League, which is expected to have a significant spending window in the 2024 summer transfer period.
If De Bruyne departs from the Etihad Stadium next summer, it will mark the end of his nine-year tenure at City, where he established himself as one of the all-time great Premier League midfielders. During his time with City, the 32-year-old won 14 trophies under Pep Guardiola, including five Premier League titles and one Champions League crown.
He was the final player in City’s senior squad signed before Guardiola’s arrival in 2016, and his £54 million signing from Wolfsburg in 2015 has proven to be an excellent investment, despite initial doubts from pundits.
