Mykhailo Mudryk appeared after 77 minutes in Chelsea’s defeat against Nottingham Forest and got a lot of fans talking – but not in the way he would’ve liked.
The Ukrainian winger who cost Chelsea an initial £62m fee failed to have any positive impact. He had only 15 touches, lost both duels, made four crosses (none of those accurate) and had only one blocked shot.
After the game, some voices on social media were scathing about Mudryk.
Sébastien: “Mudryk cutting inside towards the centre circle gives me PTSD. Dump it and run beyond. Stop thinking you’re Neymar”
EiF: “Mudryk with one of the worst substitute appearances you’ll ever see. Genuinely made the wrong decision every time he got the ball. Is it too harsh to already say he’ll never make it at Chelsea? Not seeing it for him.”
Alex Goldberg: “Mudryk might not have a footballing IQ…”
Martin: “I actually feel for the lad. Not sure how much he wanted the Chelsea move but it’s not happening for him”
