‘stop’ contract talks with Saudi Arabia or ‘risk me Leaving your Club this summer as a free agent- Man City Star told Pep Guardiola

After a 32-year-old’rejected’ Saudi offers, Man City’stops’ contract negotiations with a key player in a “risky” move.

According to sources, Manchester City has chosen to “risk” their contract talks with Kevin De Bruyne, who has ties to Saudi Arabia.

This month, it was claimed that De Bruyne was one of many well-known athletes who turned down a move to the Middle East during the summer transfer window, including Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona.

The Belgian midfielder will reportedly reject any offers made in January and next summer because he wants to finish his career at the Etihad.

Since moving to the Premier League in 2015 for approximately £60 million from Wolfsburg, he has been among the league’s top players.

After his unsuccessful tenure at Chelsea, the move did raise some questions, but such concerns were swiftly dispelled, and De Bruyne is now the proud owner of five Premier League champions medals.

The 32-year-old’s contract is anticipated to be up in 2025, but City is reportedly interested in extending it.

However, it appears that De Bruyne’s injury worries are delaying the negotiations.

He will be out for a long period after suffering a catastrophic hamstring injury on the first weekend of the Premier League season.

Additionally, the Cityzens have’stopped the renewal’ of De Bruyne’s contract, according to the Daily Star (via Fichajes).

Due to his ongoing injury, City will “slow down” contract negotiations and won’t resume them until the midfielder has “fully recovered.”

According to the source, considering Saudi Arabia’s interest and the fact that De Bruyne has recently been “tested by several clubs,” this is “a risky move.”

De Bruyne is anticipated to return and play a significant part in City’s effort to win the Premier League for the fourth consecutive year.

Following the departure of Ilkay Gundogan in the summer, Kyle Walker, speaking before of his team’s Champions League opener against Red Star Belgrade, stated that De Bruyne is one of five City captains.

The five captains who were picked to lead the team for the season and ensure that all checks and fines are paid up have been announced, according to Walker.

The key players are me, Kevin, Rodri, Ruben (Dias), and Bernardo Silva; the sequence doesn’t really matter.

“Leading this unique group of athletes out has been an honor for me thus far.

I’ll keep doing that, and I’ll try to set an example both on and off the field, so that we can win championships at the end of the year.
