Chelsea defender out of France squad due to injury, Chelsea defender out of France squad due to injury
Axel Disasi of Chelsea has withdrawn out of France’s squad to face the Netherlands in a European Championship qualification and a friendly against Scotland this October due to an injury.
Following the injuries to players such as William Saliba, Jules Kounde, and Dayot Upamecano, the former Monaco man was called up to the France national team as a late replacement for Didier Deschamps.
Disasi played the entire 90 minutes as Chelsea defeated Burnley 4-1 on Saturday, and he appeared to be fine after what appeared to be a knock. The nature of the ailment is unknown, but indications indicate it is a quadriceps problem.
With Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile out injured, the 25-year-old has been one of Chelsea’s main center backs this season, alongside Thiago Silva.
Chelsea fans, on the other hand, will be praying that the severity of the problem isn’t severe enough that he can play against Arsenal following the international break.
