Pochettino says that two players have been hurt before the game against Arsenal.

Chelsea said that both Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah have had setbacks in their injury comeback.

“Defender Trevoh Chalobah and midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka have both recently faced setbacks in their efforts to return from injuries they sustained earlier this season,” the club said in a statement.

“The two will now be looked at again before continuing their recovery at Cobham with the medical staff of the club.”

Before hurting his knee against West Ham, Chukwuemeka had a great start to the season, but he hasn’t played since.

Chalobah, on the other hand, hasn’t played at all this season because he hurt his thigh and is still healing.

Reece James is not likely to play for Chelsea in their London match against Arsenal on Saturday.

The leader of the team was looking forward to playing again after hurting his hamstring in August and being out since the first game of the season.

James has been training alone during the international break, according to The Evening Standard. He has stopped going to group practises.

However, the 23-year-old is said to be sure that he has escaped a major setback and will hope to be back soon.

At least Chelsea will be able to call back Malo Gusto, who has been out for three games since getting a controversial red card in the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa earlier this month.

Armando Broja also has a knock and will probably start on the bench. Nicolas Jackson, who has a protective cast on his wrist after a small surgery, is more likely to start in attack.

When Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo return to the club, they will be evaluated. Both have played for their countries in South American World Cup trials.

Cole Palmer and Axel Disasi should be able to get better from injuries they got during the international break. However, Ben Chilwell, Christopher Nkunku, and Romeo Lavie will likely not be back for a long time.
