The Premier League is planning an investigation into Chelsea’s transfers of Samuel Eto’o and Willian.

The two moves occurred during the Blues’ previous ownership by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic.

According to The Times, both transfers are being investigated by the Premier League after being flagged by the club’s present owners.

According to the site, Eto’o and Willian’s transfers from Anzi Makhachkala in 2013 included additional payments to unidentified Russian organizations who had no involvement in the transactions.

It’s unclear where things stand right now, although it was reported two months ago that Chelsea might lose points if found guilty of defaulting.
