Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino has instructed Todd Boehly to Sell Chelsea FLOP Midfielder in January to Rise Funds to buy £120 highly rated Striker

Conor Gallagher may be sold by Chelsea during the January transfer window, a report claims.

This season, the midfielder has been an important member of Mauricio Pochettino’s team, starting numerous games as captain in the face of Reece James’ injuries and suspensions.

Due to the frequent player churn at the club—Galagher is an academy graduate who has been with the team since he was eight years old—he has frequently been a player that Blues supporters have been able to relate to.

However, the Daily Mail reports that the two may be about to part ways in an unexpected move.

Since Todd Boehly took over the team last summer, Chelsea has spent over £1 billion on acquisitions; nonetheless, they are currently 12th in the Premier League standings after yet another dismal start to the season.

Chelsea may decide to trade Gallagher, 23, in order to raise money to add additional players to their roster in January, even though Pochettino values him highly as the current manager.

After the club’s consecutive losses to Manchester United last week, Pochettino has emphasised that the team would look to work in the winter to improve their fortunes.

The primary concern is Gallagher’s contract, which has 18 months left on it and shows no indication of beginning negotiations. As a result, he might be offloaded to raise cash before his contract expires.

The Blues are believed to be able to fetch a substantial price for Gallagher should they decide to sell, despite reports that they have been having difficulty staying within the division’s financial guidelines and elsewhere. He was linked to both Tottenham and Newcastle throughout the summer.

Gallagher, who spent loan stints at Charlton, West Brom, and Crystal Palace, has made 63 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

Although he has moved farther forward this season, he has scored three goals in that period while playing in a deeper central midfield position.

In addition, he has eleven caps for England from his numerous youth international appearances.
