Good news has been announced for Jone Stones this morning after he dropped a 25 word message in his social media handles after being forced out in Mid week match against Everton

City of Manchester
Following Manchester City’s Premier League victory over Sheffield United to end 2023, injured player John Stones posted a statement on social media.

Following their 3-1 victory over Everton earlier in the week, Pep Guardiola’s team gained three more points to close the gap on leaders Liverpool to just two points.

City put on a commanding display, and Sheffield United tried to counter and play solid defence.

However, there were few and far between opportunities to do so, as City simply possessed too much quality, with Phil Foden likely the standout player at the Etihad Stadium.

After eventually making his way back from injury to the matchday lineup, Kevin De Bruyne watched on from the bench as Rodri and Julian Alvarez scored the goals for the home team.

After yesterday’s game, John Stones sent a positive message, so perhaps another injured player will be back soon.

When Pep Guardiola discussed Stones’ injury following the Everton match, it caused some concern.

The England international injured his ankle when he slid in to block Beto, which was really unnecessary because the offside flag had already been raised.

Following the match, Guardiola stated that the injury “does not look good.”

It’s uncertain for now how long Stones might be absent. Pep did make the suggestion that he would rejoin Newcastle United or return to warm-weather training in Abu Dhabi, but the manager did not give any assurances.

Following yesterday’s victory, Stones took to social media to reassure his fans that he won’t be away for a while.

What a year it’s been! It’s great to end the year with a victory, he stated in a 25-word Instagram post. I’m sorry I couldn’t participate today, but I promise to return soon.

Stones can still contribute significantly to City this year.
For Stones, who was such a crucial component in the previous season’s run for the Treble, this season has started somewhat poorly.

He is a fantastic player who excels in the hybrid role, and City has never looked stronger than it did during their joint patrol in the middle of the previous term.

Although Stones has had a difficult time lately, injuries have regrettably always been a problem for him.

He can, however, still contribute significantly to City this year. It sounds like he won’t be gone for too long based on what he has posted on social media, which is really encouraging.

I’m hoping he can bounce back quickly and gain some steam in the second part of the campaign.
