Chelsea owner Todd Boehly have decided to sack Mauricio Pochettino and replace him with world class manager

After a dismal season, Chelsea is considering Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement, Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso.

The Premier League team, which is now ranked 11th in the league, is reportedly thinking about breaking things up with Pochettino following a string of disappointments, according to sources from Sports Zone. With their 10th loss in 23 games this season, Chelsea is now closer to relegation than the team in fourth position after their recent loss to Wolves.

Sports Zone reports that Behdad Eghbali, the owner of Chelsea, may be willing to appoint the Spaniard Alonso as manager right away. Todd Boehly, though, might be less receptive to a sudden change in leadership. According to reports, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also showing interest in Alonso.

Chelsea has struggled this season as seen by their negative goal differential—they have given up more goals than they have scored. The lone accomplishment for the team under Pochettino, despite the club bringing in new players last summer, has been qualifying for the Carabao Cup final.

The necessity for change has increased due to the team’s recent defensive weaknesses, which have resulted in eight goals conceded in the last two league games. Chelsea’s supporters are aggressively demanding a change in leadership due to the team’s offensive and defensive short

comings.
