Chelsea Star Cole Palmer was seen at a concert with a drink after the loss against Wolves yesterday

Cole Palmer, a forward for Chelsea, set a new club record in Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The England international has established himself as a key player for Chelsea since joining from Manchester City in the summer.

Palmer has played for the Blues in the Premier League on 19 occasions, starting 15 of them, including Sunday’s encounter against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old’s goal gave Mauricio Pochettino’s team the ideal start in the 19th minute of play. In all competitions, this was the player’s third consecutive home goal.

Palmer slid the ball into the bottom corner by using his weaker right foot to grab Moises Caicedo’s inch-perfect pass.

Palmer broke a club record and gave his team the lead with his eleventh league goal of the 2023–24 campaign.

Being the first player, 21 years of age or younger, to score ten goals or more in a single season, the young youngster created Premier League history.

Unfortunately, Palmer’s early goal had little impact as Wolves came back to claim the three points in West London.

Palmer’s attempt was blocked in the 22nd minute by Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha, and Axel Disasi’s own goal put Chelsea behind at the break.

Cunha scored two more goals in the second half to complete his first hat-trick for Wolves, and Thiago Silva pulled one back in the closing seconds, but it was too little, too late.

After losing 4-1 to Liverpool prior to Sunday’s defeat, Chelsea has now lost four straight league games for the second time under manager Rafael Benítez.

They had earlier lost 4-1 to Newcastle United and 4-4 to Manchester City in November after giving up four goals in back-to-back games.

Chelsea has fallen to the bottom half of the Premier League rankings while Wolves has risen to 10th position.
