Jubilation rocks Stamford bridge as two players who is supposed to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured in training and has been ruled out for 4 weeks

Due to muscular injuries, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof, two Manchester United defenders, will not be able to play for at least a month.

Argentine center back Martinez took Lindelof’s place during Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Brentford after the player suffered a hamstring injury.

The latter, though, has now strained his calf during training and will miss United’s next several games, beginning with Thursday’s league encounter at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, the club said on Tuesday night.

Injuries have been a problem for United during a generally disappointing season. Other players who have missed significant time of the season due to injury include Mason Mount, fellow defenders Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw, and Martinez.

With a defensive dilemma facing United, Erik ten Hag will next address the media on Wednesday. He will provide updates on players like Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans. United has had a disappointing season overall due to injury issues.

They still have nine league games left, starting on Thursday away at Chelsea and playing Coventry City in the Emirates FA Cup semifinal later this month.

With a game remaining, Ten Hag’s team is now 11 points behind Aston Villa in fourth place in the Premier League, in sixth place. On Thursday, they take on Chelsea, and on Sunday, they welcome Liverpool to Anfield.
