Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as the manager of this shocking Premier League Club

As he plans his comeback to management, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is allegedly in negotiations with a Premier League team.

After leaving United in November 2021, Solskjaer declined many managerial opportunities with both clubs and national teams. Since then, he has not coached a team.

But after narrowly missing out on the Besiktas job earlier in the week, the Norwegian seems to be seeking to get back into the dugout.

According to the Sun, earlier in the year, Solskjaer made a suggestion that he would have a look at one more club position. That chance could have come up when newly promoted Leicester City got in touch with the 51-year-old.

After leading Leicester back to the top division at the first attempt, Enzo Maresca abruptly left the Foxes to take a head coaching position at Chelsea. The Foxes are now searching for a new manager.

According to reports, Leicester chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha holds Solskjaer in high regard. When Dean Smith left the position last summer, Solskjaer was considered for it.

Although no formal negotiations are rumored to have taken place, the Norwegian is anticipated to be on the team’s shortlist to replace Maresca.
In December 2018, Solskjaer took over as caretaker manager at United after replacing Jose Mourinho.

After enjoying considerable success in his first two full seasons at Old Trafford, the Norwegian went on to lead his old team to third and second-place finishes. This earned him a full-time deal.

But after five losses in seven Premier League games, he lost his job when Watford defeated them 4-1.

He began serving as a technical observer for UEFA in September of last year.

Steve Cooper is apparently another name being considered for Leicester’s manager job, while the club has also contacted former Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
