Recently, there has been news from Spain that Barcelona are prepared to offer the £68 million-rated Brazilian star, plus cash, to acquire Mainoo from Manchester United.
In more recent developments, it’s reported that Manchester United are considering offering Sancho to Barcelona in exchange for Raphinha during the summer transfer window.
Sancho, the England international, was loaned to Dortmund midway through last season after his relationship with manager Erik ten Hag deteriorated. With ten Hag set to remain at Old Trafford, Sancho’s future at the club looks uncertain, despite his contributions to Dortmund reaching the UEFA Champions League final.
Catalan outlet Nacional has reported that Dortmund would like to sign the 24-year-old permanently but cannot afford his £40 million valuation. Given this, Manchester United have proposed a swap deal, offering Sancho to Barcelona in exchange for Raphinha. Barcelona are reportedly looking to offload the South American player.
Raphinha, 27, played a crucial role in Barcelona’s 2022-23 La Liga-winning campaign. However, the rise of Lamine Yamal on the right wing has limited his starting opportunities, with Raphinha starting only 17 league games last season. Despite this, he managed to contribute directly to over 20 goals across all competitions under Xavi, demonstrating his ability to strengthen Manchester United’s right wing.
